I always said i would never be the mother that dresses her children alike, like just how corny is that mother anyway? Did she get a twofer, i questioned...in the days before i had kids? Or was it a control issue? Was she just so type A, that the idea of kids wearing different, or even un-matching outfits, sent shivers down her Laura Ashley spine?
And then i had two girls.....two boys as well.....though for the most part they luck out.
And these two girls, more often than not, get co-ordinating outfits and even identical outfits. Its apparently a disease that wasn't mentioned in the book "What to expect when you are expecting", which is ironic because, those authors have no qualms about scaring you in regards to every other parenting aspect out there.
But the thing i recently learned? The dress-your-daughters-alike-disease is inherited. I never got to meet my Grandma, but in viewing a few recent pics....i'm glad to know that a little bit of her is in me.
I'll have to remember to share that info w/ my own girls one day.....
